Students also take part in the popular Student Career Days Job & Internship Fair, which welcomes some of the biggest names in tree care and gives students and tree care companies the opportunity to meet and discuss potential job opportunities. “We had a great experience, and the students made many great connections, several internship offers, and one job offer,” said Max Darrington, the student advisor from Brigham Young University, following Student Career Days in 2010.

Student Career Days Job & Internship Fair

Learn the fundamentals of a good resume for Internet and in-person, of interviewing and of the job search. Bring your resume and have a one-on-one review by Kevin Old, employment and recruiting manager for STIHL Inc.

Mr. Old is a 20-year veteran of human resources and recruiting and has been at STIHL since 2007. He serves as guest lecturer at The College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, Va.) for the Executive MBA program on "Resume Writing and Interviewing for Success." Mr. Old has a master’s degree in human resources and has the following certifications: Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR), Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR), Advance Internet Recruiting (AIRS). He also holds the rank of Captain in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.
